Unterscheidung zur gefährlichen Kreuzotter sind die leuchtend gelben Flecken am Kopfbereich und das fehlende Autoreifen- Muster (auf dem Rücken der Kreuzotter).
Fauchen können duie RIngelnattern aber ganz schön respekteinflößend, wenn man sie bedrängt!
